Aromatic Waters - Hydrosols
Sweet scented waters, are produce during the distillation process of essential oils, which are known as Hydrosols, or Hydrolats. These waters are very healing, containing water soluble components not present in essential oils, as well as a small percentage of the essential oil itself.

Aromatic Waters, instead of being the byproduct of distillation, are the desired end product. Distillations performed specifically to obtain a pure aromatic water, are slower and performed at lower temperatures, to obtain as much volatile plant material in the water as possible. Aromatic Waters are beautifully scented as they contain a higher percentage of essential oils than is commonly obtained when the water is the byproduct of essential oil distillation. Hydrosols and Aromatic Waters are both wonderfully healing and nourishing natural products.

Hydrosols and Aromatic Waters are the perfect natural skin toner. They don't require any of the harsh fillers and preservatives used in readily available cosmetic toners, so are very gentle and pure products. They are great for freshening up the skin when flying, or working in air conditioned offices. But they are best used to replace the harsh chemical toners used as part of your daily skin care regime.

Aromatic Waters from Neroli and Geranium are available and come in bottles with spray tops for easy application. Neroli is perfect for older, dryer skin, and Geranium is balancing and refreshing for younger skins.

Rose and Lavender Hydrosols are also available upon request.
